The Northern Illinois Chinese Association was founded in 1975 in Naperville. NCA’s mission includes promoting friendship among Chinese member families, NCA is devoted to several missions including cultivate cross-cultural friendships, participate in community activities, preserve and promote Chinese cultural heritage, create greater visibility for Chinese American and foster community integration.
One of the NCA’s roles is to coordinate the activities among the several Chinese schools in the Naperville area. The following are the representative from local Chinese schools.
The Naperville Chinese School (NCS) consists of 300 students. It meets every Sunday at Kennedy Junior High in Lisle. NCS was established 22 years ago with an aim to Chinese language and culture in the US.
The Cooperative Chinese School was the first Chinese school established in the Naperville Area
The Good Deed Chinese School was established in 2002. It meets
every Saturday at the Washington Junior High School in Naperville.
